INBS Conservative Association welcome young people interested in politics and the future of the United Kingdom

Scottish Conservative Future (CFS), the youth group of the Scottish Conservative Party. Members are both professionals and students alike and participate in the life of the Party many ways. Many members play a direct and active role in the campaigns of their local MSPs, MP or Councillors. Others stand for election with many currently representing their local area as Councillors; and hundreds more joining in the social life.

We encourage  members not only to socialise and debate together, but to become active at all levels of Party structure. Many Conservative Future members are office holders at Constituency level. Some members are also elected members of Local Councils.

Conservative Future Scotland

Scotland’s Leading Youth Political Movement

Conservative Future Scotland is an organisation which works to promote and represent the interests of young people within the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party. Its membership covers all members of the party under the age of 30 from across the whole of Scotland. With new branches springing up all the time and members running into the thousands CFS has taken Scotland by storm and is still growing; there’s never been a better time to join.

What we’re about!

CFS is all about getting involved! CFS members take part in all aspects of party life from helping out on the campaign trail to speaking at the parties’ annual conference but it’s not all about politics! Being a member of CFS is also about having a good time and meeting other like minded young people who have a common interest. That’s why there are CFS Social Events planned in all regions of Scotland to suit all tastes, from formal dinners with MPs and MSPs to laidback night outs on the town with a few mates; CFS has got it all!

History in Brief

Conservative Future Scotland (CFS) was formed in early 2005 with the merger of Scottish Young Conservatives and Scottish Conservative Students into a single organization that covers all Scottish Conservative party members under the age of 30 or who are currently attending University. CFS is at the very heart of the Scottish Conservative party and is officially recognised as the Scottish party’s youth wing. CFS is the sister organization of Conservative Future, which represents young party members in England and Wales.

Branches and Associations

Conservative Future Scotland is a federation of Young Conservative branches and University Societies from across Scotland. Young Conservative branches are normally the youth wing of a local conservative association or in some cases are affiliated to a several local conservative associations across a whole city to help gain critical mass. University Societies are affiliated to inpidual universities. Our University branches are usually the most active on Campus and in most cases are among the largest political societies on Campus.

The National Committee

On a national level each branch that is an affiliated member of CFS has the right to vote on all CFS decisions. Branches with less than 30 members have one vote when those with more than 30 have two votes. Voting on behalf of the members within a branch is normally granted a branches Chairman. Chairman of branches have the opportunity to meet up and vote on CFS agenda every three months at what are called CFS committee meeting. In between these meeting the CFS Executive working on behalf of the committee to run the everyday business of CFS, there is also a full time member of staff at Scottish Conservative Central Office that works in support of CFS.
